It has been around since at least the time of Ancient Egypt, and the Romans were know quiltsmiths also. Europeans began quilting as early as the twelfth century and Americans as far back as its infancy were enjoying quiltmaking as a craft. Even when quilting has fallen out of favor, families have kept their existing quilts, and have consistently created cherished memories that have been passed down for each successive generation. The e-biz does not have quite an extensive history to fall back on, but given time, it will be able to find its way in the world, although it is extremely doubtful that, no matter how long it\’s been around, people just won\’t feel inclined to pass their internet website down in the name of cherished memories.
